Disciple Yohan knew Muktidata Yeshu during his earthly life and was in awe of him. He wrote for himself and his fellow-disciples: "We saw his glory -- the glory of the unique, divine son of father God. This son is an ocean of grace and truth." He describes Muktidata Yeshu as the closest person ever to Father God, totally united with him in everything. He describes his glorious miracles, his divine knowledge, his extraordinary teachings and his power to bring the dead to life. Muktidata Yeshu's sacrificial death and return to life was also glorious, for it testified to the truth of everything Lord Jesus said and did.
Disciple Yohan wrote his account so that people would believe that Lord Jesus was the Messiah, the son of God, and that through their faith in him they would have moksha. It is our prayer, that as you read, you would also see the glory of Muktidata Yeshu, and like Pandita Ramabai say, "I received, I believed and I was filled with joy!"
